Engineering Resume

Computer vision, machine learning, and advanced engineering work across marine perception, autonomy, production pipelines, and IP generation.

I. Profile

A computer vision engineer at Brunswick's Boating Intelligence Design Lab, focused on commercializable AI systems for recreational marine vessels. I lead advanced engineering efforts in camera-based ML for captain assistance and work across data, modeling, evaluation, cloud pipelines, edge deployment, and patent generation.

II. Experience

2021— present
Technical Associate, Computer Vision
— Brunswick Corp
Lead Brunswick's Computer Vision R&D for camera-based ML/AI systems in recreational marine products.
  • Lead advanced engineering for captain assistance technologies including blind spot monitoring, swimmer detection, wake surfer fall detection, and obstacle-related perception.
  • Developed and led the Brunswick CVML Pipeline, connecting image collection, labeling, storage, training, evaluation, and deployment on edge hardware.
  • Currently using that pipeline to develop internal CVML models for the Autonomy team's auto-captain production solution.
  • Expanded CV/AI responsibilities into production-process automation for CMap, Brunswick's nautical chart manufacturing company.
  • Generated more than 12 IP disclosures, with 2 patents granted.
  • Led large-scale Marine Vision dataset and model development work across classification, object detection, pose estimation, and segmentation.
  • Mentored and managed more than a dozen engineering research students and collaborated with university and research lab partners including MIT SeaGrant and UMass Lowell.
2020—2021
Marine Autonomy Research Assistant
— University of Massachusetts Lowell
Worked on the vision system for an autonomous research vessel in collaboration with MIT SeaGrant, with partial funding from Lockheed Martin.
  • Developed marine perception ontologies and object detection models based on COLREGS for an autonomous prototype vessel.
  • Integrated object detection for marine vessels and obstacles using ROS, Python, and the YOLO Darknet library.
  • Served as teaching assistant for a robotics course.
